Holiday Project Committee
Members of the Holiday Committee run and support the annual JBA Holiday Project. The annual project seeks members of the bar and their staff to provide gifts to senior citizens who are involved with the Meals on Wheels program in our area. It is a wonderful and fulfilling experience, and many firms have made this project part of their annual holiday tradition. Last year the JBA provided gifts to a record number of senior citizens.

Professionalism
The Bench and Bar Professionalism Committee is a merger of the two formerly co-existing – and often overlapping – JBA Professionalism Committee and 4th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee. Like its excellent forefathers, this new group is dedicated to educating attorneys and the public about practicing law in a courteous and ethical way, and to doing all it can to improve the quality of life of area attorneys.

The JBA Labor and Employment Section is your link to information on workplace legal issues. Our members represent all perspectives of labor and employment law: employers, individuals and employees, unions, non-profits, and public sector employees and employers. All are committed to a balanced discussion of employment and workplace issues locally and statewide. This past year the committee sponsored and presented at a full-day seminar at the Florida Coastal School of Law. We also held several working lunches with presenters on employment law topics such as current issues in immigration law and ERISA issues in employment cases. The benefits of membership include committee participation, newsletters, CLE, local contacts, networking and more.
