Appellate Practice Section's Mock Oral Argument Program
The Appellate Practice Section of the Jacksonville Bar Assocaiation offers, as a service
to all Jacksonville Bar Association members, a mock oral argument program. This Program allows any JBA member with an
upcoming appellate argument to prepare and present his argument before a selected panel of attorneys from the Section who
volunteer to serve as "judges." Conflict checks will be completed before the panel of "judges" is assigned. The Appellate
Practice Section charges an administrative fee of $100 for this service, with exemptions granted for pro bono appeals,
appeals by or on behalf of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, or appeals in which the fees and costs are regulated by the federal or state
government.
Any JBA members requesting mock oral argument must complete the application form, "Request for Mock Oral Argument."
The information provided on the application will be used for administrative purposes and to determine the existence of any possible
conflicts. The completed application form may be submitted by e-mail to rcreed@appellate-firm.com
or by fax to the Appellate Practice Section, att'n: Rebecca B. Creed, (904) 350-0086.
