During the Judicial Reception we take time to recognize the members of the Bench, as well as swear in the Incoming Board of Governors, Incoming President, and Incoming President Elect.
The Presentation of the Pins lunch event took place on June 10th 2016. The event was put on to provide a simple, but nice, recognition event at which some of our judges could say a personal word of thanks to attorneys who provided at least 20 hours of pro bono service in 2015. Thanks again to all the honorees!

The April Membership Luncheon took place at the Hyatt downtown on the 22nd. The Honorable Mayor Lenny Curry was the speaker.
Held by The Jacksonville Bar Association Diversity Committee, a local panel of distinguished leaders and elected officials including Florida Bar President Ramón Abadin, Mayor Lenny Curry, State Attorney Angela Corey, Refik Eler, Sheriff Mike Williams, Nat Glover, President of Edward Waters College and FDLE Regional Legal Advisor Laura Coln discussed the foundational principle underlying the nature of relations among law enforcement agencies, local government, and the communities they serve.

Yoga on the Lawn took place on February 19th
K9s For Warriors is the nation’s preeminent organization providing service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of post 9/11 military service. The goal of K9s For Warriors is to empower this heroes back into civilian life with dignity and independence. 95% of the dogs used in the program are rescue/shelter dogs.
