You may join The Jacksonville Bar Association by completing the form at the bottom of this page.

We offer four member categories which include member lunches, as well as Bench & Bar and Spring Judicial Receptions.  Each category can be supplemented with the enhancing option below. Please click on any category to view the eligibility requirements.

You are eligible to be a Member if you are a member in good standing of The Florida Bar or authorized house counsel (as defined under Chapter 17 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar), or a member in good standing of the bar or similar body of another state.


You are eligible to be a Student Member if (a) you are a full or part-time student in good standing with any law school located in the State of Florida that is either accredited or provisionally accredited by the American Bar Association, or (b) (1) you have taken The Florida Bar exam and have an application for admission pending with The Florida Bar (upon being Sworn-In, the balance of Standard member or Public Service Lawyers dues must be paid to continue membership for the remainder of the dues year), and (2) you have never been a member of the Bar of another state.


You are eligible for Public Service Lawyer status if you are employed as any of the following: a Judge (federal, state, bankruptcy, or administrative); a judicial law clerk; an Assistant U. S. Attorney; an Assistant Federal Public Defender; a Fourth Judicial Circuit staff attorney; a Jacksonville Area Legal Aid attorney; a Three Rivers Legal Services attorney; a Federal or State government attorney; or as an attorney for the General Counsel¹s Office for the City of Jacksonville.


You are eligible to be an Out of Area Member if (a) you are a member in good standing of the bar or similar body of another state and (b) whose law office address is outside of Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker and St. John’s counties may become a Out of Area member. Out of Area members may neither vote nor hold elective office in the Association. Out of Area members may attend JBA events on a complimentary basis or at rates to be determined.
